Tell us about yourself.
I am Anika Sehgal, a first year student of the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Prog. at National Law University, Delhi
You secured all India 4th rank in AILET 2023. How did you prepare for the AILET exam?
I started preparing for the AILET exam 2 years before the exam and hence, I had sufficient time to prepare. I started by working on my concepts and then, towards the later half of my preparation, I focused mainly on practicing and analyzing as many questions and mocks as I could.
Would you like to share any tips for those appearing for AILET 2024?
If you're preparing for AILET, I would suggest that you should prioritize developing a strong conceptual understanding of all relevant topics. This will enable you to solve complex questions within the given time frame. Once you've achieved this, focus on practicing and solving questions within limited time.
Why did you choose NLU Delhi?
NLU Delhi is one of the best law schools in the country and provides you with a whole range of opportunities for growth. The university has a distinguished faculty with expertise in various legal fields, providing quality education and mentorship unmatched to any other institution in the country, and apart from academics it also provides a range of extracurricular activities that cater to various interests and career goals.
Why did you choose to study law?
I chose to study law because I have a great desire to help others, a strong sense of justice, and an intense curiosity about how the legal system works. I wish to advocate for justice, defend people's rights, and help bring about significant societal change and this makes law the most suitable field for me.
What are your career plans after graduation?
As of now, I am not very sure about what I plan to do after my graduation. I wish to explore the various fields that I can pursue in my life through the diverse opportunities available in the college and then decide upon the same.
